Letter to Alumnae
Greetings Tri Sigma Alumna:
Theta Kappa is now past it’s first year and thriving as we grow in members and sisterhood. As we push through the ups and downs of being a new chapter I urge you to remember your vow: Faithful Until Death. As our lives change when we transition from collegiate to alumna, our love for our sorority and our belief in our values does not. As we embark on new beginnings don’t think of it as “leaving your girl gang”; but as starting a new. As alumna we have an opportunity to help woman learn to empower themselves just as woman have done before for us. To help them realize their potential and lift them up to be woman who will take over the word.
Our mission is to “establish among its members a perpetual bond of friendship, to develop in them a strong womanly character, and to impress upon them high standards of conduct”. It is a philosophy we embraced in college and one we continue to bring into our professional lives. We as alumna have the unique chance to continue our experience and transform it into something greater than a volunteer position. An opportunity to give back to an organization that gave us so much. An opportunity to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. An opportunity to change the world, to change a life. That is something special. As a member of the Collegiate Advisory Board, we ourselves are reminded that the fun doesn’t end when we walk across that stage. That the sisterhood you felt in college doesn't have to end when you leave campus and that new sisters are closer than you think.
